EWTO Croatia's Summer Camp 2003

To bring this week to an appropriate end, some participants joined a boat trip, along with GM Bill Newman and his wife Helen. It was a trip to Prvic, an isle offshore to Vodice, to have a great fish dinner. Approaching that little village gave a facinating view. The restaurant was right at the seaside and there was gentle piano music from the nearby village square.

The food was delicious and the atmosphere was excellent. Time really flew and by midnight it was already time to leave that fantastic place. The boat trip back to Vodice gave another unforgettable view of colourful lights and scenic views of the shore.

The food was delicious and the atmosphere was excellent.

We all agreed that the boat trip and the fish meal dinner offshore was an adequate finale for this years summer camp in Croatia.

A rare view: A boat trip by night and a gorgeous sunset..

On one of the following days, GM Bill Newman went to see the impressive waterfalls of the Krka National Park. The Krka waterfalls are located in midst of a huge nature reserve surrounded by mountains. A very scenic and pictorial landscape with many lakes and rivers can be found there and the flora and fauna is simply impressive. Both the waterfalls and the nature reserve are named after the river Krka, cascading its way through the landscape. Despite the long drought that started in January, those cascades were still massive.

Overall, the seminar and the camp was likewise informative and recreative for every one who participated. The team of Sifu T. Kolar is already planning the summer camp of 2004, which will be led by GM Bill Newman again.
